The InterCityHotel Frankfurt a hotel of the Steigenberger Hotel group is ideally located on the north side of the main station. All major trains and buses stop close to the hotel and within 10 minutes walking or two minutes with the public transportation system you reach the Frankfurt fair ground as well as the city centre with it’s various cultural attractions and sights. With your room ID you can use the local public transport in Frankfurt free of charge.

What we liked was that it was available after having lost our long-standing reservation at another hotel that went bankrupt. Also, to be fair, the hotel was close to the main train station and the fair site in Frankfurt.

That this hotel promotes itself as part of the Steigenberger group is insulting. This hotel charges 70 to 90 euro a night regularly, but during the Frankfurt Book Fair charges 270 euro per night. It is price gouging plain and simple. The beds are not even beds. There is a piece of VERY hard foam on top of a platform. It is a traveller hotel that IS probably worth the 80 euro, but nothing more.

Very convienent location next to Hauptbahnhof and in walking distance of Altstadt. Room very clean and well layed out. Staff very helpful.
